Light Face Lotion

A simple light lotion suitable for most skin
types. Hello Im Richard from the Soap Kitchen, and
we’re going to show you how to make a simple light lotion base, suitable for most skin
types. Which uses olive1000 as it’s peg free emulsifier. Ok, so this is a 2 stage recipe, for Phase
A, we want to use: 10ml Glycerine, 200 ml Flower water, we have used orange flower water but
you can use any flower water really. 12g OliveM 1000 thats the emulsifier 60ml Rice Bran
Oil, 24g Shea Butter, and 10ml pourable Vitamin E And
then for Phase B: this is optional 2ml essential/fragrance oil and a preservative we are using phenoxyethanol
EHG which is 2ml. Also you are going to need a couple of suitable
sized bottles and closures. Then for your untensils, you are going to
need weighing scales, measuring spoons some graduated pipettes , a thermometer, a saucepan, a heatproof measuring jug and a stick blender. Weigh all the phase a ingredients together
into a suitable jug or bowl. Place the bowl in a pan of simmering water
and heat to 70-80c Please keep your attention on the stove whilst
heating the mixture. Heat until the olivem 1000 and shea butter
have completely melted. Phase B: Remove the heat and leave to cool
to 40c. You can place the jug in an ice water bath to speed up the cooling process Add phase b ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use a hand blender to speed up the mixing
process. Pour the mixture into suitable containers. Share photos of your creations with @thesoapkitchenuk.
